INVITATION: MISSION TO ETHIOPIA │ 26 – OCTOBER – 01 NOVEMBER 2025

The Sustainable Industrial Clusters Project (S.I.C.) is a flagship initiative implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth. and Development Office (FCDO) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). S.I.C. aims to strengthen the resilience of the textile and garment sector in Ethiopia.

To support Ethiopian textile and garment manufacturers in expanding and diversifying their buyer base, the S.I.C. project is actively facilitating connections with buyers across Germany, the UK, wider Europe, and the MENA region. As part of this effort, and in line with the principle that “seeing is believing,” S.I.C. is organizing its third buyers’ delegation visit to Ethiopia. This initiative offers European industry stakeholders a unique opportunity to experience Ethiopia’s modern industrial infrastructure firsthand — a key step toward building trust, identifying new suppliers, and fostering long-term, sustainable business partnerships.

GIZ invites all interested German and European buyers to participate in the competition to join the third buyers’ delegation to Ethiopia. Buyers will be able to meet pre-selected Ethiopian suppliers, visit companies in state-of-the-art Special Economic Zones and visit Africa’s biggest fashion-sourcing event, the African Sourcing and Fashion Show (ASFW), where Ethiopia showcases its potential as a sourcing
destination. Selected companies will enjoy free travel and accommodation.
